Plan for the next 6 months

So, I've written the books, you can see in the books page, as short summaries (including their endings) but they are probably not getting turned into novels any time soon. This is mainly due to my abject time poverty and the lack of hordes of fans chasing me to finish them. That said, I anticipate that once the short stories start being read by people other than myself, I'll probably start working on those books. 

With the short stories, there are three currently online with a fourth one on the way called "The Service". The Service started out as a post-alien invasion story set on Earth but it quickly turned into equal parts police procedural and space opera. 

The challenge with this is deciding how to tell the story, so I decided to release it in the 'one season broken into twenty two episodes' format. So, basically, the short story that's there now will be updated with a new episode every week. Season one will have an intro part in the first few episodes, then something insanely big happens, and after that, in the final third of the season, some of our main characters will travel across the galaxy to participate in an intragalactic war. 

The first three short stories might also continue like this so you can think of what's up there now as their respective pilot episodes. 

Of course, in order for people to read these, I'll need to do some social media marketing, which I'm not really the best at if I'm being honest. Hence the plan is for the next 6 months as opposed to the next 6 weeks. Additioally, I wouldn't feel right about advertising just yet because the first three short stories need to be tweaked for grammar. I know, I know I shouldn't have posted them unless they were ready but whatevs, I'll do it properly next time.

Lastly, this blog post is misleading because now I'm going to talk about some longer-term plans: (1) turning each episode into a YouTube video. I've already started this project for the first episode of the short story - Dibs on the Discrepancy. I'm excited about that and will probably make another blog post about it. 

(2) I'd like to host other writers here, ideally, I'd like to keep it as Sci-Fi themed as possible but if it's written well in another genre; I'd be more than happy to have it as long as it doesn't have any filler. More on this in the FAQs. 

Anyway, that's it for now. I'm not sure how many more of these I'll write because I'd rather get an AI avatar to read them in a video if that turns out to be more fun and not too time consuming.
