In the old days (yes, mostly in the developed world), you’d come home from school or work and watch a few hours of TV to relax and unwind or maybe game for a little while, go to the movies, or read a good book.
With modern time-constraints, however, it’s getting harder to indulge in a good story, irrespective of the medium. Thus, we’ve resorted to scrolling through posts and videos in our social media feed, which doesn’t feel as satisfying.
This is where Filler Free Fiction comes in.
The point of this project is to replace the role of your former favorite TV show. The one you couldn’t wait to watch every week. At this stage, while we can’t bring our stories to life on a screen (even though there are plans for this in the future), we can deliver them in sufficiently small doses to make them satisfying enough to enjoy on an episodic basis within a greater story arc. This way if you like a short story (of about 2,000 to 3,000 words) you can read the sequel immediately afterwards or come back to it when you have time. Of course, we’ll have standalone stories too.
Additionally, we’ll publish even shorter one-off stories, in a 700 - 1,000-word format, like the average plot summary of a movie in a wikipedia article, to give you the same satisfaction in even smaller increments.
Finally, we’ve outlined the plots of seven full-length novels, extracts of which will be available for free in the books page. These will materialize into full length novels one day if we can find adequate funding. More on this in the FAQs. For now, the aim is to make as much freely available content for readers to gauge the quality of our work and enjoy it as part of our fanbase.
